Painting a Manchester Terrier live! From a photo reference by me, taken of my own dog who's buzz word is Squizza! This is the face he pulls when we say it!

Manchester Terriers are such a fantastic breed! Originally bred to catch rats in Victorian Britain they quickly became the must have dog of the time and were regularly used in sporting events to compete against each other catching as many rats as they could in a given time!
Lively, playful and affectionate they love nothing more than testing their agility and speed followed by a snuggle in a blanket by their favourite human! They are also vocal, alerting you to anything out of the ordinary - which if mine is anything to go by, could be anything that actually moves outside the window! That said they are fantastic dogs and are currently on the Kennel Club Vulnerable Breed list. Rescue dogs are hard to come by but should you be interested in this breed, you can find out more about them by clicking the link below |

Painting a Miniature Poodle Live was always going to be a challenge - in fact painting any dog with curly or textured fur requires extra brain power - all that shading in every curl!
Poodles are such a fabulous intelligent breed! Affectionate, lively, good watch dogs but not aggressive and high spirited happy dogs! Let's all be more POODLE! In this video I am painting a miniature poodle - referred to as Alan but in fact, this is Alan's sister 'Nala'! Funds from the sale of this painting will be donated to Poodle Network who are the ONLY registered charity dedicated to the welfare of poodles in the UK and deal with the rescue and rehoming of all sizes of poodle. Totally depending on donations to help these dogs, it can cost up to £750 just to help one dog! If you would like to help them please click the link below |

The news has been a bit rubbish this week (more than usual) so in any attempt to bring a bit of cheer to you all I have decided to paint a pug - the dog worlds clowns they are always up to entertain and have a great sense of humour. I contacted a local pug rescue facility and Bubblebecca Pugs and Becca gave me permission to use one of her beautiful wards as my subject. So I selected 'Buttercup' who was 6 years old but had been used (abused) as a puppy factory and had been rescued by Becca and neutered. No more puppies for Buttercup! She has found her confidence and loves to snuggle up with Becca at bed time and those eyes say it all!
Please watch. comment and share to raise awareness for Pugs looking for rehoming. If you would like to donate directly to Bubblebecca Pugs you can do so below |
